This photograph shows a crowd gathered outside of the Feilding Post Office for its opening in 1902. The land for the Post Office, located on the corner of Manchester Square and Kimbolton Road, had been donated by Mrs. M Hastie to Queen Victoria.

On the morning of February 27, 1902, Sir Joseph Ward (Post Master General) declared the Post Office officially open, and wished the residents of the town and district every success.
