Islabank Cash Store

Description

Opened by I.A. Gallop in August 1951. Situated on Kairanga-Bunnythorpe road about 100 metres from the railway crossing. Initially a general store, it later opened only in summer and autumn, selling the produce of the adjacent orchard. The store was bought by Gallop's son in law D.M. Waugh in 1973. The building is still standing (2014) but is not in use.
