Description: The Hocken Bros were well-established horse traders in Manawatu region. They frequently held sales in and around Feilding, as well as at their farm in Grassmere. Auctioneering firm Gorton & Son seemed to work quite closely with the Hocken Bros, as newspapers from that time period mention them together frequently.
