Feilding's Drover and Dog statue, which stands guard on Kimbolton Rd at the entrance to the town's Drover and Dog was sculpted by John Fuller, who died in September 2012. Mr Fuller’s bronze statue was unveiled in Feilding in 31st May,2003 as a celebration of Manawatu’s pioneer past and its agricultural lifeblood. Fuller arrived in 1953 to take up a position at Feilding Agricultural High School as its head of art - a position he held until his retirement in 1985. His sculptures grace many sites in Feilding, and he also designed and made the crest for Manawatu District Council and the mayoral chain. Fuller also donated the Squabbling Birds sculpture outside the Feilding library. centre.
