Read MoreIn 1921, a ceremony for the laying of the foundation stone of Feilding Agricultural High School was held. Later that year, a brick building featuring four classrooms and a chemistry lab was completed, marking the birth of the school. According to the school website, Mr. Tolley was instrumental in the completion of the school. He died just ten years later, in 1931.

Read MoreThe Feilding Technical School was designed by T. H. James, Architect to the Whanganui Education Board, and was built in 1907 by William Wilkinson. It was later incorporated in Feilding High School.

The school was opened in 1882, and its classrooms had the capacity for 100 students. A house for the schoolmaster was built nearby. In late 1940, the school was closed due to dwindling population, and the current students were enrolled at Halcombe Public School.
