The reference to 'Caesar' on the corrugated iron outhouse is to Mayor C.B. McClure, who was nicknamed Caesar. The clock carrying the words 'Just markin' time' is probably a reference to the clock tower debate which was going on at the time see under 'Mock Clock Tower.'
