The Paper Plus in Feilding is part of a new 1200m2 corner development of Manchester Square built for a local owner. A new Paper Plus store with its own cafe, shares space with the BNZ Retail and BNZ Partners offices. The alterations to the Feilding Gentlemen's Club included extensive renovations to the historic building. The project included an extension to the existing building, creating the 'Oroua Room', new sanitary facilities, a remodel of the 'John King Room' and new entry ramp. This was a difficult project as all of the new work was designed and built to meet the standards set by the New Zealand Historic Society. All of the windows and trims were specifically crafted by a local joiner and expertly installed to ensure that the finished extension looks like it was part of the original building. Where possible, trims and timber detailing's were removed with great care during the demolition phase. This allowed for these original timber works to be re-installed in the new extension ensuring some of the original building was included in the new extension. For this project we have included before and after photos, which outlines the amazing transformation. The new Ranfurly Manor Resthome is now complete, re-branded as Ranfurly Residential Care Centre. The new premise of the Ranfurly Residential Care Centre is a 7000m2 purpose built, single storey, Aged Care Facility. The new home includes 74x hospital beds, 26x beds in a Specialist Dementia Ward, 43x single bed license to occupy (LTO), 10x double bed LTO and 6x double bed stand alone units. The facility also includes numerous communal lounge and dining areas, a full commercial kitchen, commercial laundry, service areas, offices and an onsite hairdresser. The entire grounds of the facility have been architecturally designed and landscaped, including 10 separate courtyards with complete with a bowling green and water features.

The Feilding Integrated Family Health Centre (FIFHC) amalgamated the town's nine local doctors into one facility. The FIFHC was a massive undertaking in the 10 month construction programme. The new facility required major demolition works, a full strip out and re-build to the existing building footprint with only the floor, roof and exterior wall structure remaining. The project also included a number of extensions to the existing building, namely a 1000m2 central block extension and a new sealed carpark that services the entire facility. The multimillion dollar project also houses radiology, laboratory, mid-wifery services and a Pharmacy. Colspec is proud to have be the Main Contractor for such an important project that is vital in servicing the needs of the entire Feilding Community. The Sandilands Edwardian Development involved the demolition of the existing building that had stood in place since 1904 and construction of the new 'former Sandilands building'. Unlike its predecessor, the new building meets 100% of earthquake code and comprises of precast concrete walls, structural steel roof framing and an insitu concrete floor. The original veranda posts and filigree were restored and re-used in the new building, along with salvaged bricks that are included in the ground floor façade. It has a floor area of 310m2 with all three tenancies full. It was a pleasure to work on this magnificent project and were ecstatic when the building won 'Commercial Development of the Year' in the Feilding Business Awards for 2014. And recently the Sandilands Edwardian Development was awarded a Silver at the Commercial Project of the Year Awards in Auckland.
