The Christian Endeavour group, taken in 1908 at the Primitive Methodist Church, Manchester Street Feilding. Gill & Flavall Ltd

In the early 1930's Fred Flavall & Nathan Gill decided to go into business together. Nathan was the building contractor and costing clerk, and Fred was the window joinery maker and right-hand man, The business was called Gill & Flavall Ltd. Buildings constructed State Houses, Farm Stock Firm, built next to the Denbigh Hotel in Manchester Street. Major reconstruction at the Feilding Agricultural High School and Feilding Intermediate, Pensior flats for the Feilding Borough Council. It was a building business that flourished during the post-war years, but came to an end in the 1970's. Thank you to the Flavall Family for allowing us to scan this photo and for the information
