The Primitive Methodist Church, whose cause was established in 1875, built their church on a site in Manchester Street, near the banks of the Makino Stream in 1876. The Primitive Methodists were responsible for the erection of the first permanent Methodist parsonage in Feilding, this being built in Church Street in 1891. The present parsonage, built by the Wesleyans, was constructed in West Street in 1900.
