Feilding office opened on the 5th September 1881 with Mr R.M. Callanan in charge. The first branch was located on Fergusson Street(exact location unknown). In 1892 BNZ in Halcombe closed and the building was transferred to Feilding on a new site at 50 Fergusson Street. By the early 1900s the number of staff increased to the point where the building could no longer accommodate them. A new larger building was constructed on the same site in 1907. The building was rebuilt again in the 1960s, opening in April 1965. Alterations to the building were made during the 198os. Bank of New Zealand moved to new premises at 55-59 Kimbolton Road, Feilding. The old building in September 2013 became a restaurant called 'The Strong Room'
