This image shows several men outside the Halcombe Post & Telegraph Office, sitting on motorcycles. The appearance of the sidecar in this photograph suggests that it may have been taken in the early 1900's.
The house shown in this image was built for August Oppatt and wife Wilhemina during the late 19th to early 20th centuries. It stood on State Highway, next to the Sanson service station _(see also MAN:200). _The style of the home is unusual for a house of this period, and may reflect the family's ethnic background.
The date of the photograph is unknown.

This image shows troops marching down Kimbolton Road in the 1940s, possibly as a send-off before they went overseas. There is a platform with the British flag which is believed to be a vantage point for dignitaries to review the troops as they march past.
This image shows a mail coach carrying passengers outside the Apiti Post Office. The date and creator of the photograph are unknown.
