Feilding Bank of New Zealand office opened on the 5th September 1881. The first branch was located in Fergusson Street (exact location unknown). In 1892 BNZ in Halcombe closed and the building was transferred to Feilding on a new site at 50 Fergusson Street, where Feilding Store stands today. By the early 1900s the number of staff had increased to the point where the building could no longer accommodate them. A new large building was constructed on the same site in 1907. The building was rebuilt again in the 1960s, opening in April 1965. - BNZ Heritage
