Description: Feilding Library is situated on the corner of Bowen & Stafford Streets. Feilding's new municipal library was opened on saturday afternoon, September 27th, 1980 by the Mayor Mr G H Corrick. The Feilding Library has had 5 moves since 1879 when Mr Peter Thomson toured the new settlement and raised 15 pounds as funds to start the library. The first location was at: Immigration Barracks 1881-Kimbolton Road (Jockey Club) 1883 - Manchester Street (Old Bank of New South Wales). Then in 1895 the library moved behind the council offices on the corner of Kimbolton Road and Staffords Streets.
